Extended one more weekend!
The California State University, Dominguez Hills Department of Theatre and Dance has extended its producation of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” for two more shows on Friday, October 28th and 29th at 8 p.m. in the Edison Theatre.
Playwright Jeffrey Hatcher’s 2008 adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella is beautifully done, capturing the raw energy of the original and focusing the audience on the story’s major themes of identity and morality by using multiple Hydes portrayed by members of the cast. For the CSU Dominguez Hills production one of those Hydes will be performed by a woman. Directing “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” is CSU Dominguez Hills theatre arts lecturer and alumna Naomi Buckley.
