Los Angeles City Firefighters put out a fire at a Single family home on 2nd St. and Hanford in San Pedro, Ca. According to Chief Chris Logan, one person and three pets were in the home when the call came in at 9:19pm on Dec. 6, 2011. The fire was extinguished in thirty-four minutes and nobody was injured.

Following the detachement of 600 feet of Paseo Del Mar in San Pedro on Sunday, November 20,  City of Los Angeles engineers assessed Monday morning. A geological survey will begin immediately and last six month.

San Pedro's First Thursday Art Walk on June 2, 2011 featured for the first time popular food trucks that brought with them many food fans to downtown. The Grilled Cheese Truck had the longest line where people waited up to thirty minutes to get their sandwich. The Lobster Truck got the best reviews.
