How did you hear of the assassination of Osama Bin Laden?

How did you hear of the assassination of Osama Bin Laden?

White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer tweeted just after 9:45 p.m., "POTUS to address the nation tonight at 10:30 PM Eastern Time."

10:30 p.m. on Sunday night? I feared that it could be one of those "there is an astroid headed for Earth" kind of press conferences.

I turned on CNN to hear Wolf…

I remember photographing his childhood home every year for the Daily Breeze at Christmas time because his dad always went above and beyond with the lights and decorations. SOMETHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN: WELCOME BACK SAN PEDRO NEWS PILOT

In the summer of 1994, as a journalism student and wannabe photographer at El Camino College in Torrance, I made a photograph that was published on the front page of the local newspaper.

The photo was of the 10-foot statue of Mary which is mounted on top of the Mary Star of the Sea tower, her arms outstretched toward the Port of Los Angeles.

A gift from the parish fisherman in 1961, the statue was brought down to earth for restoration, making it available to view up close for… Continue
