MAY 5, FIRST THURSDAY IN SAN PEDRO

FREE GUIDED ARTWALK TOUR

The May 5 tour will continue the exploration of the diverse range of art available in San Pedro galleries. The one hour free tour will leave from the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, 390 W. 7th Street, at 6:30 p.m.  The tour usually stops at three galleries/studios.

Studio 345 artists Pat Woolley and Gloria Lee will be showing a variety of their own acrylics and watercolors. Mostly non objective works by Gloria and French village scenes watercolors by Pat, who lives part time in Provence. Pat is also illustrator of 2 award winning children’s  books The Thrift Store Bears.

Annie Appel Photography is introducing Photographer Amy Chambers exhibition “Afterglow.”  The images are beautiful, colorful, and summerlike.  The artist is self taught and doing very original work.  For years she has used the very basic adjustments available at photo printer kiosks at a local drugstore.  The tour’s third stop is still being selected.

Each month the Artwalk tour starts at 6:30, meeting at the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, 390 W. 7th Street, and follows a different itinerary.  To receive monthly tour information by email, contact FirstthursdaySPtour@gmail.com.  Following the one hour tour, visitors have an opportunity to see shows at other galleries, shop, eat and enjoy the music and ambiance that fill the streets on First Thursday.
