Boating Skills and Seamanship Class to Begin
The U.S. Coast Guard-Auxiliary is set to teach Boating Skills and Seamanship starting July 7 in Los Alamitos.
Boat handling, trailering, navigation, weather, communications, aids to navigation, among other things, will be taught in the 11-week course.
The class is free, but the textbook and materials cost $40.
Many insurance companies offer discounts for successful completion of courses such as this one.
It'll be held every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 11600 Los Alamitos Blvd. 90720.
