By virtue of his all-around play and leadership on both sides of the gridiron, Alvidrez was named the 2014 Marine League Tri-Player Of The Year, sharing the award with Narbonne junior quarterback Roman Ale and Carson senior all-around star Jabari Minix.

Alvidrez, also the 2014 News Pilot Prep Football Player Of The Year, is one of three Pirates who received high praise from the Marine League coaching consensuous.

San Pedro (11-2 in 2014) had a dozen All-Marine League first team selections as they were well represented.

The Pirates' only two losses this season were by a combined seven points to Narbonne, and in the semifinals to Carson, whom the Pirates also defeated on November 7 to force a three-way share of the league crown.
