A local musician is hosting an annual concert in San Pedro to collect holiday toys which will benefit the charitable organization Love in the Mirror (loveinthemirror.org). In past years, the concert, presented by Counterfeit, has collected toys for the holidays which have been donated to the Door of Hope Women’s Shelter in Wilmington and the 1736 Family Crisis Center in Los Angeles.

Love in the Mirror, based out of Long Beach, CA, was founded in 2009. The organization is the implementation of Jonas Corona’s (A 6-year-old) dream of creating a better life for people in need in his community. Love in the Mirror has helped over 40,000 people with food, clothing, toiletries, school supplies and toys. Jonas believes that everyone should look in the mirror and love what they see, and without basic necessities, it is hard for them to do this.

The concert is free and open to the public. Four local bands will be featured from There will be music by Feral Kizzy, A Boy and His Tiger, The Black and White, and The Midnight Screening. We are asking that everyone who attends to bring an unwrapped gift which will be donated to a child in need through Love in the Mirror. Unable to make it to the concert? Toys will be accepted beginning November 28, 2015 at Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles. They are open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
