Ruth Trotter’s works shown in CAYLUS are from a series she created in 2010 as an “Artist in residence” at DRAWInternational, contemporary art center in Southern France. Trotter has developed a group of drawings and paintings based on her observations from experiences that explores modes of representation rooted on both psychological paradigms and themes of landscape. Trotter is a Professor of Art at the University of La Verne in Southern California since 1989. She received her B.A. from Scripps College and her M.F.A. from Claremont Graduate University, as a Millard Sheets Scholar.

This show will debut at Gallery Neuartig on First Thursday, June 2, 2011 with an artist reception on Sunday, June 12 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
