Event Description

Athena L. McConnell is the author of The Love Letter and the Silver Ring. McConnell was born and raised in San Pedro, California, but an adventurous heart and a curious mind have taken her all over the contiguous states. McConnell is a talented stage actor and award winning poet, and she is in the beginning creative stages of writing a horror novel and is currently composing a collection of poetry and short stories for publication.

An inspiring story on never letting go of your dreams, Athena L. McConnell's debut novella tells the powerful story of how love never dies. A love story inspired by true events of two women in love who fight against fate keeping the two apart. After forty years of losing touch, Emma searches for Stella after finding an old love letter that she had written to her almost half a century ago along with a sliver ring she wore the first day she met Stella in college. At the same time, Stella who is dying from cancer makes a final request to her children to find Emma before she takes her very last breath. Will true love prevail or will Emma and Stella's love story end before it ever began?
