San Pedro’s Harbor Historian Arthur Almeida will sign copies of his new book: “The Wobblies in San Pedro: Conversations with Paul Ware and Bob Bigelow” on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 1:30pm at the Los Angeles Maritime Museum, Berth 84, San Pedro.
The Industrial Workers of the World, (known as Wobblies), are members of a radical labor union that played a prominent role in the waterfront strikes of the 1920s. Their famous motto: “An Injury to one is an Injury to All” was later adopted by the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU.)
