You are invited to attend the upcoming Select Committee on Ports informational hearing on Port Energy: Powering the Future of Goods Movement, that Asm Bonnie Lowenthal will be holding next week at the Port of Los Angeles.
The hearing will examine the current and future power needs of California’s ports, from the perspective of the ports, their business partners and utility providers. The committee hearing will also examine the role green technologies will have in addressing port power needs. As the region’s largest job generator, it is critical that our ports are able to stay competitive in the upcoming years, and this hearing is designed to gather information on future power needs.
The hearing will be held Thursday, October 25th, from 9 am to noon, in the Port of Los Angeles Administration Building’s Board Room, located at 425 S. Palos Verdes Avenue, San Pedro. Please feel free to contact the office of Asm Lowenthal at (562) 495-2915, if you have any questions, or to RSVP for the hearing.
