The Institute of Musical Arts is proud to present “High Five, Daddy!", a solo performance by Storyteller Antonio Sacre. Born in Boston to a Cuban father and Irish-American mother, Antonio's stories are drawn from his personal history growing up bilingual and bicultural as a Cuban-Irish-American.
Antonio is an internationally touring bilingual storyteller, award winning author, and solo performance artist, based in Los Angeles. He earned a BA in English from Boston College and an MA in Theater Arts from Northwestern University. Last year Antonio presented "My Abuela's Kitchen" at the IMA. It was a tapestry of unforgettable tales full of humor, inspiration, tradition, and family. In this concert of new family stories, you will hear stories of children and their parents that are as funny as they are touching.
Called “a charismatic, empathetic presence” by Chicago Tribune, Antonio's stories have appeared in numerous magazines, journals, and on National Public Radio.
You can buy tickets to the show online: https://highfivedaddy.eventbrite.com , or by visiting our website: http://www.imalosangeles.com/ . You may also pay by cash, check or credit card, at the IMA office, while supplies last. As is our custom at the Institute of Musical Arts, a catered reception will follow the performance.
Ours is a small, intimate theater, and we do expect a robust response. So please do not delay in purchasing your tickets. Tickets for the performance are $20.00.
