The Institute of Musical Arts is proud to present "My Abuela's Kitchen", a solo performance by Storyteller Antonio Sacre. Born in Boston to a Cuban father and Irish-American mother, Antonio's stories are drawn from his personal history growing up bilingual and bicultural as a Cuban-Irish-American. Antonio is an internationally touring bilingual storyteller, award winning author, and solo performance artist, based in Los Angeles. He earned a BA in English from Boston College and an MA in Theater Arts from Northwestern University. "My Abuela's Kitchen" is a tapestry of unforgettable tales full of humor, inspiration, tradition, and family. Come meet Antonio's Abuela (Grandmother), plus a host of other colorful relatives, as he presents stories that are as funny as they are touching. Called "a charismatic, empathetic presence" by the Chicago Tribune, Antonio's stories have appeared in numerous magazines, journals, and on National Public Radio. You can buy tickets online at: https://myabuelaskitchen.eventbrite.com , or by visiting our website: http://www.imalosangeles.com/ . You may also pay by cash, check or credit card, at the IMA office, while supplies last. Ours is a small, intimate theater, and seating is limited. So please, purchase your tickets today. As is our custom at the Institute of Musical Arts, a catered reception will follow the performance. We really hate the thought of disappointing anyone, so please call us at least TWO HOURS BEFORE the performance to verify ticket availability if you do not purchase your ticket in advance. For additional information, call (323) 300-6578.
