Event Description

Whether you’re a chocolate old fashioned fan, or hooked on sprinkles you wont want to miss The Salvation Armys National Donut Day celebration honoring veterans. This year’s celebration will feature a donut-themed festival in front of the USS Iowa with attendees getting to relive history as Salvation Army Donut Lassies in historical costume serve up sweet treats. The public is welcome to enjoy live music, a special presentation honoring The Salvation Armys programs for veterans and, of course, plenty of gourmet donuts to go around. To make the morning even sweeter, the USS Iowa is offering a special National Donut Day discounted ticket of $10 for those in attendance to tour the floating museum where so many veterans served.
