Have you ever seen a simple, yet immensely successful product and said to yourself, “Wow, I wish I had thought of that!” 

Speaker Derek Gable will discuss the stories behind such fascinating products as the Frisbee, Post-It notes and Silly Putty, and share the inside story behind those clever infomercials.

Gable will also talk about his early days working at Mattel. He’ll share his incredible stories about the toy business in the 1960s and 1970s when Mattel was a thriving sea of creativity and craziness.

Did you know that their think tank was run by a Hollywood eccentric who once married Zsa Zsa Gabor? You won't believe the stories!  It makes the movie “Big” seem boring!

Gable will be at PVNet on Sunday, Nov. 22 from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. Admission is free to the public. 

PVNet is located at the Promenade in the Peninsula Mall on the ground floor next to Pottery Barn and under Regal Cinemas.
