PortTech Los Angeles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, business incubator dedicated to developing and promoting businesses with clean technologies that help companies and industries resolve their environmental and regulatory challenges. Primarily, PortTechLA transitions entrepreneurs from running a start-up to overseeing a thriving business by providing several crucial services including management consulting, pitch development, discounted office space and access to funding.
Entrepreneurs are connected with investors, company leaders and business opportunities at the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach through networking events such as the PortTechForum and PortTechEXPO, as well as individual meetings. The organization is founded on the belief that investing in clean technology entrepreneurs in turn supports a flourishing local economy, allows business owners to meet California regulatory requirements and ultimately creates a cleaner environment for everyone.
PortTechLA is a significant contributor to the Clean Tech Los Angeles Initiative, a founding member of the Business Incubation Network of Southern California and a member of the National Business Incubation Association. Based in downtown San Pedro, PortTechLA is located adjacent to the Port of Los Angeles.
