With just over a minute left in the second quarter, San Pedro High football quarterback Rashaud Armstrong rolled to his right and found Cabel Parker wide open for a 68-yard touchdown that gave the Pirates a 17-7 lead. San Pedro would successfully defend their City championship in a rematch with Taft of Woodland Hills, winning 24-7 in the 1997 CIF-Los Angeles City Section football championship game. That was Parker's ONLY catch of his high school career, making it extra special.
