Eight Is Enough For Rita Fiorenza... As She Scores At The Buzzer To Force OT!

The San Pedro High girls basketball team was in desperate need of a basket to force overtime, and they knew just who to look for to get it. With visiting Elizabeth Learning Center leading 42-40 with eight seconds left in regulation, in comes Rita Fiorenza, as she took the inbound pass and scores easily as time expired to tie the game. Unfortunately, the Lady Pirates lost, 52-48 in a nonleague game from Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
