Mary Star High Softball Posts Solid Win Over San Pedro

The Mary Star High softball team shakes hands with in-city neighbor San Pedro after defeating the Pirates, 3-1 in an El Segundo Tournament consolation semifinal game at El Segundo Middle School. Marina Vitalich threw a five-hitter with 9 strikeouts, also going 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Devyon Matherly hit a clutch RBI-triple during the Stars' three-run first inning. Johnie Cortez hit an RBI-triple for San Pedro.
