The Port Of Los Angeles High softball team shakes hands with San Pedro after the Polar Bears rallied from a four-run deficit to defeat the Pirates, 6-5 in an El Segundo Tournament first round game at Recreation Park. Kelsea Short hit a walkoff single with two outs in the bottom of the sixth to drive home Adriana Vargas for the winning run. Short finished 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored for POLA, while Vargas scored twice. Koral Costa went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Chloe Oro went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored for San Pedro, who got a two-RBI double from Taylor Garcia in the first inning. The Pirates went up 4-0 in the second inning before the Polar Bears scored four runs in the bottom of the second to tie the game, sparked by a pinch hit two-out, two-RBI single by Laura Leos.
