Port Of Los Angeles High softball and Marymount were just starting the eighth inning of a tight Redondo Tournament pool play game, and the Marymount pitcher faked a throw towards second base, then the middle infielders started running into center field as if ball was overthrown. However, the ball never left the pitcher's hand. Despite that, the runner on second base never budged after retreating back to the base to avoid risking being caught up for a cheap out. The Polar Bears eventually won, 6-5 in nine innings over the Sailors on Friday, February 24, 2012.
