San Pedro High JV Softball 2012 Wins City Section Title!

The San Pedro High junior varsity softball team was able to defeat Marine League rival Carson, 8-2 to claim their first CIF-Los Angeles City Section championship in 15 years at the Wilmington Jaycee Athletic Complex on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Cayla Ezelle had an outstanding hitting day, going 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and 3 RBIs. Jocelyn Kondash and Kaitlyn Rodriguez each hit RBI doubles, and Rodriguez added an RBI-single for the Pirates, who defeated Hamilton, Granada Hills and San Fernando before beating Carson for the title.
