Friday, October 22, 2010 will forever be known as the day San Pedro High football star Darrell 'Deejay' Santiago broke a 60-year school record for touchdowns in one game. Here's the last of his six rushing TDs, a 43-yard run midway through the third quarter of the Pirates' 59-0 Marine League victory over visiting Washington of Los Angeles. Santiago finished with 289 yards rushing on 21 carries on the night. His performance eclipsed former City Section MVP Jim Decker's four-touchdown effort against Banning back in 1950.
