SP Girls Basketball Defeats Washington For The First Time In 20 Years!

The San Pedro High girls basketball team ended 20 years of heartbreak against Marine League nemesis Washington Prep of Los Angeles on Friday, January 20, 2012 with a spirited effort, which carried the host Pirates to a 39-33 victory, their first over the Generals since 1992. Taylor Rae Rogosic scored 16 points, 14 in the second half, to lead the way for San Pedro, who also got 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists from Rita Fiorenza.
