SP Softball Repeats As The 2001 CIF-Los Angeles City Section Champions!

San Pedro High softball proved to all their doubters, and especially rival Carson, that their two-day, 20-inning 1-0 victory that decided the 2000 CIF-Los Angeles City Section championship was no fluke by repeating as the champion in 2001 with a convincing 3-0 win at UCLA. Here's the final out when first baseman Ashley Esparza fielded a ground ball and touched the base to end the game, sparked by pitcher Natalie Tam's two-hit shutout.
