SP Softball Three-Peats As The 2002 CIF-Los Angeles City Section Champions!

Can you say 'three-peat'? Well, the San Pedro High softball team can. Star pitcher Ashley Esparza closes out the 2002 CIF-Los Angeles City Section Finals in the bottom of the seventh with an emphatic strikeout of her Carson pitching counterpart Danira Iolamo to finish off the Pirates' 1-0 win and clinch their third straight City title at UCLA. It was also San Pedro's 10th City crown overall.
