A big thank you to all who attended last years festival. You made our community's first Ćevapčići Festival a huge success!

KEEP IT OPEN!

Make sure to keep Saturday, September 10, 2011 open and join us to eat ćevapčići, visit with friends, listen to ethnic music and surf rock sounds, dance the kolo to tambouritza bands, drink coffee and check out fantastic art by local artists.

Don't forget to keep hydrated from all of the dancing.
And pick up a t-shirt or two.

And for those who left hungry last year, we will have vendors selling plates to fill your bellies.

This year’s special guest is John Filcich of Festival Records, who “devoted his life to the preservation and promotion of musical traditions and dances of many ethnic groups in California.”

WHAT IS THIS FESTIVAL? YOU MIGHT ASK...

The 1st Ćevapčići Festival held at Angels Gate Cultural Center, drew an audience of over 1200 people.

The aim of the Ćevapčići Festival is to promote the community of San Pedro as a popular destination, and to publicize the uniquely Balkan character of this Los Angeles community through its food.

The ćevapčići festival has generated wide local support, with the whole community sharing our excitement we expect an even bigger crowd.
