Carson has improved greatly since their 21-0 loss to San Pedro on October 28 and have won four straight since. The Colts are now run-oriented, as evidenced in their 47-34 win over Venice last week in the CIF-LACS Division I quarterfinals. Roger Jones ran for 276 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries, and Carson only threw three passes. Make no mistake about it, Carson is still a good team despite their 7-5 overall record. All five of their losses were to great teams, Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Long Beach Poly, Narbonne and San Pedro.

Does anybody know of a club or otherwise social group for people born in San Pedro, and I would also like to know if there is a branch of the Sons of Norway in San Pedro.

Thank-you very much! It's easy once you get the hang of it!

I collect SP postcards and early 1900s negatives where ever they can be found! I'll try to add descriptions as this progresses and I have a chance to research all! I need to viit the San Pedro Bay Historical society archives as soon as possible!

Our house was built in 1918, and called an Airplane Craftsman, 2 stories. We just moved in last September after a zillion years in SP apartments! Am looking for info on our house too! Someone suggested that perhaps it was a ship's captains house back in the auld days!

I like what you said about making a strong community!

Cheers and thank-you again for your assistance!

Curmudgeon Corner

My Rooney Thoughts for May 27, 2012 There are times when we must send our children to a place where we can’t protect them, a place of chaos, disorder and uncertainty.  It’s a place of upheaval, bewilderment and death.  It’s a place where our politicians like to say “they gave their last full measure of devotion.”  To a few are given medals to honor their deeds, others just get a simple white stone cross or Star of David. These brave men and women have fought all over the world—they did not…See More
