Event Description

Led by Sabina Sandoval, founder of Free to Be Me Drum Circle, this afternoon will be one to bring out your inner warrior and healing self through the physical, mental and spiritual effects of our collaborative drumming circle. Drum gatherings have been around since the dawn of humankind, evoking countless kinds of communications, across the plains, village to village, and also the inner-self exploration and connectivity of the internal self.

Maureen Deering Davis, Yoga Therapist at GGIW, agrees, current research verifies the therapeutic effects of drumming including physical healing, immunity boost, heightened feeling of well being, release of emotional trauma and stress through the body’s production of endorphins. Drumming study show a valuable health benefit for treatment of fatigue, anxiety, hypertension, chronic pain, and migraines. Additional studies show benefits for mobility related illnesses including arthritis, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke and paralysis. Thank you Michael Drake for this article about all the amazing therapeutic effects of drumming: http://healing.about.com/od/drums/a/drumtherapy.htm

Additional information of Sabina, her skills & passion are available on her site www.freetobedummingcircle.com

Awaken that Warrior! Reach deep into your inner soul! Connect with your inner healing! Literally feel the vibrations and rejuvenation of self!!!

$25 advanced registration required (so we can provide ample supplies). 100% of the proceeds will be donated to perpetuating drumming education through Give A Kid A Drum, and Children’s Day USA.
