Event Description

“Magic for You! – Magical handpicked numbers from our past 14 years” is the fall musical variety show brought to you by Stearns Musical Theatre Company (SMTC).  This enchanted show full of song and dance numbers will take place at the Bixby Auditorium at 5251 E Stearns St. Long Beach, CA 90815. Show include songs from shows performed by SMTC in the past 14 years such as There is Nothing Like A Dame from South Pacific, Big Dollhouse from Hairspray, select songs from Annie and so much more.  There will be two shows on Saturday, November 14th at 2 pm and 7 pm. Donations of $12 for tickets is asked and all fundraising proceeds go to enhancing the group's productions with props, costume, sound equipment and lighting.  Tickets are available on Event Brite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/magic-for-you-a-benefit-performance-for-stearns-musical-theatre-company-tickets-18577656270.

All contributions are administered through Partners of Parks, a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.  Artistic Director Alex Amador-Marrero started the group in 2001 which aims to provide family entertainment while also providing a vehicle for the first time and interim performer to perfect their skills. SMTC is a working musical theater workshop and feature amateur to professional performers from age 8 to 88.  SMTC offers performance enhancement, choreographed numbers, vocal performance opportunities and mentoring by professionals (for acting, voice and performance). We strive to give our performers a live theatre experience.  SMTC was established as a grassroots company of community members and volunteers who come together to perform. We offer family-friendly live musical variety shows and original musicals through the help and guidance of Partners of Parks and the Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine.  Like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ StearnsMusicalTheatreCompany.
