The Department of Theatre and Dance at California State University, Dominguez Hills presents a production of Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s play “School for Scandal,” with performances in the University Theatre on April 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 8 p.m., and April 13 at 2 p.m.
Fraught with competition, sex, backstabbing, and debauchery, it’s old-school social networking, littered with Sheridan’s poisonous gossip, and it’s a reminder that human nature has not changed much throughout the generations, as we can always be seduced by a tale of status, love, and betrayal. This was a reality show ahead of its time.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students and senior citizens. Group rates are also available. For more ticket information or to purchase tickets online, visit www.csudh.edu/theatre/tickets. For other payment options, please call the box office at (310) 243-3589.
The University Theatre complex on the campus of CSU Dominguez Hills is located on Toro Center Drive/Tamcliff Street off Victoria Street in the city of Carson. Metered parking lots are within walking distance. Permits are $5 and can be purchased at yellow kiosk machines near each lot.
