Ya gotta love the left-wing socialist Occupiers who would seek to tear down our country and somehow abolish all the presumed "unjustified inequalities" in the world today.

They remind me of a military strategy developed in Vietnam where the U.S. Army in their 1967 "Operation Cedar Falls" burned down South Vietnamese villages one after the other in a massive search and destroy mission to eradicate Viet Cong guerillas from the Iron Triangle . The South Vietnamese villagers were then relocated from their homes that some had lived in for over 100 years, to "New Life Villages," which were nothing but dismal refugee camps.  Our miltary then defoliated the entire area with "Agent Orange" to eliminate furthur occupation of the habitat for years to come. In the aftermath, our best and brightest leaders coined the phrase “We had to destroy the village in order to save it.” The saying came to symbolize a war out of control with no logic or common sense.

Well, history has proven our policies on Vietnam were clearly wrong as it will eventually judge the left wingers and their Occupy movement today.

Now naming themselves "Occupy the Rose Parade," they called for demonstrations on Jan.1 and Jan. 2 at the Pasadena Rose Parade site to oppose the corporate money used to build the Rose Parade floats.

In response to the threat, Pasadena Police Chief Phillip Sanchez responding quickly said “parade groups are encouraged to respect the rights of all who attend the parade, many of whom travel great distances with their families.” He also added, “As the primary agency responsible for safety, the Pasadena Police Department is well equipped to handle emergencies and unusual occurrences. The vast majority of people who attend this event have little contact with the police, in part because of the mutual respect among those attending the parade.”

And so, the lines were drawn. The Pasadena PD has called on several outside agencies to bolster their numbers and ensure a safe unmolested event for everyone attending.

Occupy's January 2nd occupation of the Rose Parade yesterday went off quietly. A few hundred protesters massed in Singer Park, Pasadena hours before the Rose Parade for a rehearsal. By the time the Rose Parade launched at 8am, there was estimated to be about 400 or so milling around the park while some were still making protest signs. To their credit, the Occupy leaders went out of their way to cooperate with police in an obvious attempt to clean up their image prior to their march.

Occupy The Rose Parade marched out about 9:30am, totally ignored by the TV networks who cut their coverage. Protesters were preceded by 30 or more police cars, and at every block of the parade route over a dozen cops were standing on the corner.

Even though some parade attendees left for their cars, many still filled the bleachers to watch the action; probably hoping for a show of some kind. The Occupy Parade viewers that stayed provided a pretty even mix of positive and negative reactions as the Occupy Parade passed their positions.

Occupy Rose Parade's leader Peter Thottam, admitted to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that "Occupy The Rose Parade" did not get formal approval from the Occupy Los Angeles general assembly, which could explain low turnout numbers." Occupy Pasadena demonstrators also declined to formally endorse the Rose Parade march.

The final Occupy the Rose Parade marchers crossed the finish line at about 10:30am and continued marching through Old Town Pasadena where they were joined by a handful of religious protesters railing against sin, alcohol and drugs.
