Port Of Los Angeles High softball junior pitcher Analise De La Roca was bestowed upon with one final postseason accolade after her spectacular 2016 season.
De La Roca became the fourth in the history of the program to be named to the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Underclass Team and only the second to be named first team, which she was honored with First Team Pitcher selection.
The three-year veteran garnered 408 strikeouts, finishing 26-4 with a 0.43 ERA, 20 shutouts, 5 no-hitters and three perfect games, allowing 19 runs (12 earned), 31 walks and ten hit batters in 197 innings pitched. De La Roca also hit .521 with 4 home runs, 49 hits, 16 doubles and 37 RBIs with 13 runs scored with an on base percentage of .609, and a .840 slugging percentage.
De La Roca joins former POLA softball players Nicolle Miranda (2013-2015), Kelsea Short (2014) and Allison Bayer (2013) as Cal-Hi Sports All-State Selections, along with two former San Pedro softball greats Taylor Petty-Sullivan (2016 State Sophomore Of The Year) & Perelini Koria-Bush (2017 State Junior Of The Year), and Mary Star softball alum Marina Vitalich (2013-2015).
