SP's Analisa & Gabriella Ma The Latest In Family Of Soccer Stars

It's all in the family for San Pedro High girls soccer... especially for the Ma family.

Ever since the 2006-2007 season when the oldest of four Ma sisters, Dominique played on JV, it has escalated into a full avalanche of Ma sisters waiting to take over and help the girls soccer program... and in every year, all Dominique, Jessica, and current member member of the 2012-2013 team senior Analisa has ever known, was winning a Marine League championship regardless of the level.

Diane and Tom Ma provided a great stable of soccer thoroughbreds.

Dominique, the oldest of the Ma sisters, was a member of the 2008 CIF-Los Angeles City Section runner-up San Pedro team as a sophomore, while Jessica, is the only four-year varsity veteran of the team, and a two-time All-Marine League defender.

Now incoming freshman Gabriella Ma has came in, continuing on the legacy of her family of Pirates.

Analisa has already made an impact this season, making a quick statement during San Pedro's season-opening 4-2 win over Sylmar by scoring her first two (and currently only) goals this season. The two-year varsity veteran who played goalie in her two years on junior varsity, has a 3.7 GPA and plans on becoming involved in the medical field once she graduates this year.

The once-goalie now turned forward has only played on the field for two years at San Pedro, but according to Analisa's club coach, she enjoys it because she's one of the top players and scorers.

Overall, Analisa wants to join her sister Jessica again at Los Angeles Harbor College to continue playing soccer.

Gabriella, meanwhile, hasn't had a memorable moment yet, except for the fact that she enjoys playing knowing her sister Analisa is there to back her up. Gabriella has played in every game this season. She is a blur on the field with her quickness, and also has a 3.7 GPA just like Analisa.

Look for both Ma sisters to provide their awesome moments as they will be two of many integral points to what could be San Pedro's eighth straight Marine League title run.

San Pedro (3-3-1 overall) will resume play this Friday with two Pirate Cup Tournament pool play games.
