Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation guided meditation practice that begins in Savasana, or corpse pose. Starting with a prolonged body scan, to release tension held in the body, moving into pranayama (guided breathing techniques), followed by guided visualization for healing the heart, head and body. Affirmations are often used to reinforce the healing. The effective and powerful practice have been found to produce profound healing and stress reduction.
