It was a wonderful day Tuesday for me and my family as I was sworn in as the newest Councilmember representing the 15th District including San Pedro.
My first Council meeting will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012. I am very much looking forward to taking my seat at the horseshoe and representing all of you.

I am greatly saddened to learn of the death of San Pedro resident Steve Saggiani, killed tragically Thursday evening, while performing his duties as a longshoreman at the Port of Long Beach. Los Angeles City Engineer, Gary Lee Moore, briefed me Friday morning on the status of the White Point Landslide.
