Mary Star High Softball 2012 Knocks Off POLA For Second Straight Year

The Mary Star Of The Sea High softball team shakes hands with visiting Port Of Los Angeles after defeating the Polar Bears, 5-1 in an intersectional game at the San Pedro Softball Complex. Marina Vitalich threw a four-hitter and struck out five for the Stars, while Cassie Demers sliced in a two-run single during a four-run sixth inning to pull away. Nicolle Miranda struck out five batters for POLA, while hitting an RBI-triple in the fourth inning.
