Lebron James visits the Boys and Girls Club in San Pedro, donates $120,000

LeBron James made a surprise visit to the Boys and Girls Club of San Pedro on July 25, 2011. His Foundation donated $120,000 to the club. 

LeBron James' Q rating placed him in the top five most popular athletes in America before his decision to leave the Cavaliers and "take his talents to Miami. Since the one-hour ESPN special to inform the world of his decision, James' "brand" has suffered a sharp decline among basketball fans and sports aficionados.

However, Mike Lansing, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club in San Pedro, credits "the decision" with the funding the club received from the James Foundation.
