Last Thursday, the San Pedro High girls soccer team opened the 2012-2013 season with a 4-2 victory.
Now they're on the other side of a 4-2 score when they dropped an intersectional game to Torrance at the John M. & Muriel Olguin Campus,
Torrance (2-0) would score four times in a 17-minute span to completely break the game wide open after senior Lauren Mayeda gave the Pirates a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute with a penalty kick goal. Ashley Lopez would score midway through the second half for San Pedro (1-1), who was coming off a 4-2 win over Sylmar.
San Pedro will next host Santa Monica in another intersectional game on Wednesday.
