Jordyn Alves Scores Twice To Lead Mary Star High Girls Soccer
Mary Star High girls soccer, the reigning two-time Camino Real League champions, has not lost a step as they defeated visiting Rolling Hills Prep, 4-2 in a nonleague game.
Junior forward Jordyn Alves, who was an All-CIF selection last season, appears to be headed for another breakout season after last year's 18-goal outburst. Alves scored twice, while Sarah Garcia and Alex Figueroa added the other two goals for the Stars, who got an incredible 11 saves from goalie Monica Bender.
Mary Star will next face Animo Leadership at home on Wednesday.
