The Internet is Here To Stay - Is Your Business?

When you opened your new business were you hopeful and full of vim and vigor? Did you have a successful model that you knew would work? If you did, good for you. I hope that however "old-school" you may be, you included a website in your marketing and sales plan. No matter the size and scope of your business you'll never be perceived as a serious player unless you can be found on the Internet.

Surprisingly, many savvy business folks don't include the Web in their plans. The good news is that a website and the purchase of a domain name can be very inexpensive. The bad news is that many folks out there don't understand the Internet and pay thousands of dollars to "Advertising Guru's" that take your money and provide very little else. There is an alternative! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, a domain name can be purchased for as little as $10. per year. The cheapest websites can be hosted for as little as $10. per month. Once built, ongoing maintenance for a site is nominal.

Who Do I Hire? A Pro or a Rookie?

The reality is that potential clients for your business not only expect the usual from you, a business phone number, a business address, a calling card displaying a professionally designed logo, and an email address, but in addition, they will ask for the name of your Website. If you don't have one you've just told them "I'm a "rookie" and I'm not really serious about my business.
