It was only a tournament game, but the rain and hail kept pouring and pouring... still it didn't deter the Port Of Los Angeles High girls soccer team in the seventh place game of the South Torrance Holiday Tournament against Lakewood on Saturday, December 28, 2012. The Polar Bears and Lancers battled to a 2-2 draw, so they immediately went to the penalty kick shootout. Tiffany Torres, Isabela Van Antwerp, Ariella Martinez, Nikki Bonilla and Alyssa Bristol made all five PK's, and goalie Nicole Sierra made a crucial stop on Lakewood's fourth attempt (they were successful in the other PK's) to secure the hard-fought victory for the Polar Bears. The rain came down hard after Torres' first penalty kick as you can hear in this incredible clip.
