Mary Star High Softball 2012 Wins In The CIF-SS Division V Playoffs!
The Mary Star Of The Sea High softball team held off visiting West Valley, 2-0 in the first round of the CIF-Southern Section Division V playoffs as Marina Vitalich strikes out the final batter of the game. Vitalich finished with 8 strikeouts in a two-hit shutout performance, while also hitting an RBI-single in the bottom of the third inning that brought in Lexie Geich. Vitalich also scored later in the inning on Veronica Webb's RBI-single, both of which came with two outs. It was the Stars' 20th win of the 2012 season.
