I did read the comment, thank you very much! But this was indeed a hawk (or falcon) and he's been in our yard A LOT lately. We had a barn or screech owl visit us, on our deck railing, at the holidays. Didn't have time to snap a photo of that one, but he was all aglow from our Christmas lights. Amazing!
