Upcoming Event at the new LA Waterfront

Still in the works, the Fall Festival at LA Waterfront. To coincide with the Veteran's Day event at the USS Iowa. Sponsored by San Pedro Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Seaside Studios and the Kiwanis. Justice For All?

At the recent community dinner held by the Occupy San Pedro group a number of people got up to speak.  There were two main themes that came out of the speakers.  We are fighting for JUSTICE and we are concerned about our community, San Pedro.  There were three who stood out in my mind.

San Pedro's Version of Occupy L.A.

San Pedro has it's own little piece of the Occupy movement,  the group Occupy San Pedro.  They have already held three demonstrations at local banks.  First, Wells Fargo, followed by Bank of America on Pacific Ave. and finally, Chase.  There's no doubt that San Pedro residents are being hit hard by the financial crisis.  The number of foreclosures is a clear indication of that.  Since it is a San Pedro group, made up of locals, there is an interest in helping those who are struggling in our…
