LOS ANGELES - A direct scoring barrage was the norm for Port Of Los Angeles High girls soccer as they took care of business against host Animo South Los Angeles, 11-0 in a Crosstown League game at the Roybal Learning Center.
Senior forward Nikki Bonilla continues her torrid pace with a five-goal barrage, giving her an astonishing 20 goals in six league matches. Sophomore forward Melissa Rodriguez scored twice for the Polar Bears (13-5-1 overall, 6-0 league), who are just two wins away from another perfect league title.
Also scoring for POLA was senior midfielder Alyssa Bristol, sophomore midfielder Ariella Martinez, senior midfielder Cesilia Hernandez and freshman forward Amanda Lazo.
The Polar Bears head to Rancho Dominguez Prep of Long Beach next Wednesday.
