The Port Of Los Angeles High softball team, the reigning two-time CIF-Los Angeles City Section Small Schools Division champions, are hosting a special 'fun' raiser event on Saturday at the San Pedro Softball Complex.

The JV and varsity teams will have an exhibition game against faculty and staff members of POLAHS, and the amazing food truck, El Burger Luchador will provide the food. Also drinks and baked goods will also be available for the special event which will be held on Field No.3.

Coach Melissa Bugarin-Espinoza has a wealth of experience and 12 returning players from last year's team that went 21-7, repeated as Crosstown League champions, and defeated Harbor Teacher Prep of Wilmington, 5-0, to win their second straight City title. Sophomore pitcher Nicolle Miranda, senior catcher Brianna Grayson, sophomore infielder Briana Valencia, and juniors Kelsea Short, Allison Bayer and Sarah Maldonado are key returning players.

Be sure to come on down and support the Polar Bears in this special event from 12-3pm.
