Police Seek Help in Finding Pair Linked to Robberies

From the Daily Breeze 4/27/2012:

“The pair committed their first armed robbery Nov. 18th at an auto parts store in the 24800 block of S. Western Ave… They also are suspected of robbing two other businesses in the area. They have targeted auto parts stores and a pharmacy, usually around closing time.”

Target Store driveway finally fixed!

After many years of patching a piece of street with asphalt, the City of Los Angeles' Street Services put in a concrete patch in front of the Target store in San Pedro where underground water came up creating massive potholes and water puddles. We are hoping that this will now be a permanent fix.…

John Auld (1940-2012): Historian Remembered for his Commitment to Students, University

One of California State University, Dominguez Hills Department of History’s earliest professors, San Pedro resident John William Auld, passed away on April 8 from complications of dementia. He was 71.

Proof that San Pedro once had its own city hall. Buried for 100 years, uncovered during construction

Construction workers found a large granite block with "City Hall 1907" written on it at a North Gaffey residential development. According Anne Hansford of the San Pedro Bay Historical Society, the date is consistent with the original San Pedro City Hall which was built in 1907.
