The Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) for the Clearwater Program has been released today. The extended public review period begins today and ends on April 10, 2012. In a nutshell, the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County wants to build a new onshore tunnel and ocean outfall so that the current tunnels can be inspected and repaired if necessary. The reported “Frisbee Ban” is actually a misunderstanding, somehow perpetuated by social media, news sources etc… It appears that the intended rule or change to rules, was to allow officials/lifeguards etc, to designate areas at any given time for Frisbee tossing and other sports, based upon conditions at the beach.

My neighbor had a visitor over the weekend, who left his car unlocked. With his laptop and check book in sight. Needless to say it only took a couple of minutes for someone to come by and take them. 30 minutes later the thief was already attempting to cash one of his checks for a hefty amount!

I had the opportunity to attend the the Presentation of Encore Entertainers presentation of Annie at the Warner Grand Theater in San Pedro on Friday. The musical runs from Feb 2-5, and I recommend you check it out. I got to go back stage right before the performance and meet many of the child actors. They are all fantastic.
