U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Class Set to Begin

(LONG BEACH --- March 21) --- The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is scheduled to teach About Boating Safely on April 30 in Long Beach.

"The class is for boaters who operate powerboats, sail boats and personal watercraft," said USCG Aux. instructor Michael Bozarth, who's set to teach the eight-hour class.

Boating Safely and Seamanship Set To Be Taught

(LONG BEACH --- March 1) --- The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is set to teach Boating Safely and Seamanship starting March 31 in Los Alamitos.

Boat handling, trailering, navigation, weather, communications, aids to navigation, piloting, legal requirements, seamanship, hull and plumbing maintenance, among other things, will be taught in the 11-week class.

The class is free, but the textbook costs $40.
